Leg ornaments-A crystallization of work and beauty

Work is beautiful and painstaking. In order to reduce work’s burden on the legs and the damage done to leg muscles when climbing mountains with heavy loads on the back, to prevent legs from being harmed by grass, brambles and snakes when walking on narrow mountain paths, and to keep the legs from cold wind and dew, many ethnic minorities in China developed leggings. These were the earliest leg ornaments. Later on, smart women embroidered beautiful patterns on the leggings so as to make their legs look better. These gradually developed into today’s leg ornaments. It can be said that leg ornaments are an elegant exclamation mark in clothes.
