What Portrayed the Heroic Figure?

  Epics are a literature form of early society. It passed on the history of ethnic groups and the origin of nationalities. It is an encyclopedia of nationalities. The heroic epic Gesar truly depicted tribal fight of the transitional period that the Tibet nationality from clan society to slave society. Today there are still a bench of nomadic tribes in the vast grasslands. The book of Gesar is a war history of ancient Tibeten tribes.
  
The present source area of Yangtze and Yellow rivers is precisely the tribal center of Gesar in the legend. The epics wrote: “The Ling  kingdoms are the world center and Maya region is the source of Yellow River and the center of the Ling kingdoms.” The Ling kingdoms include three tribes of Zalho, Eluo and Zhuoluo. Before Gesar came to the world, the devils and demons were everywhere. The rulers big and small among clans, tribes and ethnic groups fought each other. So peopleÕs responsibility is to protect their country. Men and women, old and young in Ling kingdoms were all proud of brave. They preferred death in the fierce fighting rather than live merely for the sake of living. In the battles, the enemies were usually good at martial arts and heroes from Ling kingdoms often defeated by their enemies. But in an extremely precarious situation, Gesar always fought courageously and swept away all obstacles. The frequent battles tempered benches of heroes and Gaser is the hero in Tibetan people’s hearts.
  
The people’s enthusiasm and the fighting spirit of defending their country is the nucleus of epics and which is the national soil to breed this great hero-Gesar.
